The scarf is the most important accessory in the cold season, because it keeps us warm even in the freezing cold. But the popular winter accessory can do more than just be functional, it just has to be tied correctly. We’ll show you three different wrapping techniques that will turn your boring onion look into an eye-catching outfit.

Let’s be honest: not all of us know the best way to tie our scarves. We wrap it awkwardly around our necks, adjust it a bit, and hope it looks reasonably good doing it. But that’s over now, because we’ve chosen three simple techniques that will quickly turn your scarf into the star piece of your outfit.

Tie a scarf correctly: With these techniques it works!

1. The loop

The “loop” wrapping technique is one of the easiest ways to put your scarf in the spotlight. Simply tie a bow in the middle of your scarf and pull gently to create a small knot. Put on the scarf so that the knot points towards the neckline. Then cross the ends of the scarf at the back of your head to create a kind of bow. Now loosen the knot a bit, thread the two ends of the scarf through the loop, and then pull them back a bit to hide the details of the knot. Et voilà, the first wrapping technique for your winter accessory is ready.

2. The knot

The knot-wrapping technique is a bit more difficult to implement and requires good hand coordination. But if you follow the prescribed steps, you will quickly get used to it.

Wrap the scarf around your neck as usual and position it so that one end is longer than the other. Hold the shorter end in one hand and the longer end in the other. Now pass the long end of the scarf under the short end and wrap it around your neck. Your hand, holding the shorter end, will be wrapped; don’t worry, it won’t stay that way. Instead of just letting the long end of the scarf hang down like usual, reach into your opposite hand, grab it, and as the last step, simply pull it through the loop to the floor. Now straighten the scarf a bit and the chic knot is ready, which is guaranteed to stay tight all day.

3. Round neck scarf

Don’t have a round neck scarf handy? No problem, because with this simple trick we create one in a few seconds. To do this, simply wrap your scarf around your neck and knot the ends so they connect. Now cross the scarf so it forms a figure eight and then slide your head through the loop you created in front of you, and voila, you’ve created your very own crew neck scarf.
